Late Nights

I should start this one off by thanking all the wives and girlfriends first for being so understanding and supportive of this recreational sport we all enjoy so much. Thanks girls, we love you all.

Now, when the Girlfriends and I are out on one of our man-moto-cations, we like to ride hard all day. You all know, riding hard all day comes with a price of some late nights. I know most of you know what I’m talking about here. Let’s face it, we don’t get much rest or relaxation on these little adventures. One of our favorite late night stops is at one of my very good friend and ridding buddies house in Utah. One of the best things about my buddy in my opinion is he just happens to be one of the best bike mechanics in the IMG_1410state of Utah. He has saved our butts more than once out on the trails. Whether he is ridding with us, or on the other end of the phone he is always there and we appreciate him dropping everything to help us out. We can’t say thank you enough, oh wait maybe we can. This reminds me he is quit the practical joker too. Let me tell you a little story of his antics. I will admit after a hard day of riding we all like to crack open a few cold ones while working on the bike. Now with this said you never want to be the first to turn in for the night because these guys are like a bunch of vultures looking for their next meal. Well, the last time we were all together I was the one that turned in early and fell victim to their prank. The next morning while loading bikes I notices something different about my bike and the fact that one of my buddies could hardly contain his laughter. The brake level on my bike was not where I had left it the night prior. At that moment I knew it was going to be a long day of discovery and resetting everything on the bike. It turned out to be a pretty long list too. Just a few examples were a rock hard suspension, 50 lbs of tire pressure, no brakes that I discovered on the trail as I came into a corner a little too hot, and the list go’s on.

To this day we still look back and laugh and say that was a great day of riding.

There is never a dull moment in our adventures and  I’m not sure what I would do with out these guys. Like I said before they make me laugh.
